Program Coordinator (Part-Time, Remote)
We are seeking a highly organized, proactive Program Coordinator to help lead the day-to-day operations of our growing international nonprofit. IMMSA brings together scientists from academia, industry, and government to improve the quality, reproducibility, and standardization of microbiome and multi-omics research worldwide.
This flexible, part-time remote position is ideal for someone who enjoys coordinating people and projects in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities include:
Planning and coordinating quarterly scientific webinars
Organizing quarterly Board of Directors meetings
Preparing monthly email communications and/or newsletters
Supporting industry sponsors
Help organize annual workshops
Maintaining the IMMSA website, social media, and online presence
Managing IMMSA working groups and committee activities
Coordinating manuscript development teams
Assisting with the preparation and submission of grant applications
Managing organizational finances, budgets, and administrative operations
The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator with strong organizational and project management skills, can juggle multiple priorities independently, and is comfortable working with scientists, industry leaders, and nonprofit partners. Experience with scientific organizations, nonprofit management, grant administration, or event coordination is highly desirable.
Compensation is commensurate with experience; this is a part-time position and does not include benefits such as health insurance, retirement, or paid leave.
